Q: Are Leaf Brand products free of chemicals?
Our products are chemical free and non-toxic. They are made only with all natural products.
Q: What are PLA products made from? Bagasse?
Corn starch is used to make all PLA products. Bagasse products are made from leftover sugar cane fiber that has been extracted for its sugar content. Cold materials are recommended for PLA products and bagasse products are suitable for hot and cold materials.
Q: Have your items been tested for certification?
Leaf Brand products are certified by ASTM and BPI for compostability.
Q: What are PLA/Bioplastic made of?
PLA/Bioplastic are made of corn starch.
Q: Why are some products brown in color?
Bleaching process are harmful to our environment. The process is very damaging to the aquatic lives. At Leaf Brand, all our products are unbleached resulting in a natural brown color.
Q: Why use PLA instead of plastic?
PLA (polylactic acid) is derived from corn-based resins that are non toxic and is a renewable resource. Plastics are made from petroleum based chemicals. The petroleum based used along with their additives are known pollutants, toxins and non-biodegradable.
Q: Why use Bagasse plates/clamshell instead of paper?
When juices are extracted from the sugar cane stalk, the leftover fiber is normally considered as a waste product and usually is incinerated. Instead of wasting the sugar cane fiber pulp, it is instead used to make compostable products. Bagasse is a byproduct of sugar extraction and is a renewable resource. Most paper products are made from virgin wood. By using paper products made from virgin wood, it can deplete our natural forests.
Shipping
Q: When will I receive my order?
Orders are shipped out within 24-48 hours, weekends not included. The delivery time depends on the method chosen at the checkout page. Most Fedex Ground shipping takes about 2-6 days. USPS Flat Rate delivers within 2-3 days in most cases. Please add 1-2 business days for those uncertain times.
Fedex ground does not include Saturday, Sunday or Holidays as a business days. A business day does not count on the same day that the package is shipped. The following business day is counted as the 1st business day.
Example: If a package is shipped on Monday that takes 2 business days to arrive. You do not count the day you ship as a business day, so Tuesday is the 1st business day and your package would arrive on Wednesday, the second business day after the ship date.

Q: Can the orders be picked up at the warehouse?
Unfortunately, orders may not be picked up from out warehouse.
Q: How can I get a shipping discount?
Buying in bulk will help reduce the cost of shipping.
Q: Can I track my order?
Within 1-2 business days of your order, a tracking number will be emailed to you.
Returns
Q: Can I return/exchange my items?
You may return/exchange unopened items sold by Leaf Brand within 14 days of delivery for a refund minus the shipping charges. A 25% restocking fee will be applied. No returns or exchanges will be accepted if the items are opened or used.
No returns will be accepted without prior approval from Leaf Brand. Please contact us at customerservice@leafbrand.com to receive an RMA number before returning goods. Returns without an RMA number will not be eligible for a refund or exchanged.
Q: What if I received the wrong item?
If it is determined that the error was on our part, you can return the unopened item and we will cover the return shipping costs. We will send you the correct item once we received the returned products. A restocking fee will not be applied.
Please note, the items must be unopened/unused to receive a full exchange or refund. Items will not be accepted if the packaged is opened and will not be qualified for a refund/exchange.
